Help with end game analysis

Here's a game I played against a strong oponent. I was happy to come out with a draw, but I wonder could I have come out with the W?

Akuni

6...Be6 doesn't look good, definitely artificial development. Castling would have been better, in general the Bioshop shoud wait to move to protect b7 from an attack from b3.

Dxc4 wasn't good as it left the center. Even though it won a pawn it gave the initiative to White.

12. c5 was poor as it allowed e5, though he missed that.

Move 17 should have been b3 or Be2 anything to dislodge your Knight.

Thanks, Akuni. How long should I wait to develop the c bishop? I'm sure there's not a hard and fast rule, but are we talking immediately after 0-0 or 2 moves, or 3?

What would you suggest instead of dxc4? I was looking to get rid of those passed pawns, but you're right that I would have been in a bad spot after c5. I lost my e pawn after e5.

TwoMove

22...Bxf4 was a good attempt to play with flair, but I think objectively speaking it could be leading to a winning position for white. In the opening, after 6...0.0

7.0.0  pxp 8.Ne5 it is good for black to play 8...Be6. In fact most top players play 7.pxp because at some point in becomes good for black to grap the c-pawn, and try to hang on to it.

White played weird and could have won many times

it appears a draw, or possibly a win for white if they can play endgames much better than me.

i think white could have taken the black pawn shortly no matter what black does. if black plays anything other than 62. Kg6, then white can simply black 63. Kf4, 64. Kg4 and 65. Kxh4. if black plays 62. Kg6, white still wins the pawn with 63. Kf4, 63... Kh5, 64. Kf5, 64... Kh6 (only legal move) and white can again play Kg4 and then Kxh4. (sorry, i'm sure i got something wrong here).

this leaves a K and P (for white) versus K (for black) endgame, which is probably a draw as black can drop in front and take the opposition when white drops onto h4. The black K can then gradually retreat into the h8 corner where i can't see how it can be forced out (prob leading to stalemate if white tries).

Thanks everyone.

So that I can understand end games better, could someone post a diagram of how white should have played the K + N + P end game to win? As black I thought I should have been able to promote, though simply because I didn't think he had enough material to force a win.
