Help with this game

First of all. My opponent played very well. Congratulations on a good tournament win.

This game finished today. Please look at it and tell me what you think I could have done better.I placed my thoughts in the commentary. I think I may have got overly aggressive and moved to support an attack on move 28 when I should have consolidated my forces instead and improved my position with a good material advantage.

You shoudn't check that early 'cause it will leave the rook behind. So, you must move the rook to where it couldn't be threatened and that's when you'll move the Queen to e5.

You've not actually lost if not for that move (and not for Nxe6) :D

Thanks. What do you think about moving Rd4 on move 21 instead of begining the rook displacement back rank check combination with c4?

I think c4 is still good. The rooks' specialty is an open file 'cause that's when they become more useful. Back rank attack is necessary.
