I just did a game and got checkmates by a pinned bishop how do you ask?
so I am on a attack right I pinned the opponents bishop to his king so the bishop cannot move and then he/she checkmated me with a queen supported by that bishop (which was pinned to the king) how is that possible? the bishop cannot move so it shouldn't be protecting that square right ? ill submit the game link/png here

The point is that if you take the queen and then they take your king, and even though yes, on the “next turn” you could take their king, that doesn’t exist, as your king has already been lost.
Another way of thinking about it is that if you take their queen, you would be putting yourself in check (illegal move)
