I do not think it’s realistic to obtain 500 points within 7 months. Even if you go from 500 to 1000 - it might me challenging. If you jump from 2000 to 2500 online….Well, 2500 online rating is rating for the player who has serious chess title already (CM or FM) - it’s challenging!

Currently Im studying chess,
Reading chess books, studying chess- through reading peoples blogs and watching high level chess games and doing a few tactics. I am currently not playing many games, just focusing on understanding the theory, history of the game.
What does it take to get to 2500 online; from around 2000 elo online? I would want to achieve this by the end of the year, does anyone have any idea on how to do this. Currently in my repetitore; I have studied the Grunfield Defense, Tactics- and looking at positional chess and considering getting a coach.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this. (Also I do analyze my games, without using an engine)
