How to make a plan in this position

Black to play

the engine suggest h6, I play Qd5 in this position 

I lost my knight ,but  the engine says Black still has an advantage 

1. Why h6 is best move in this position

2. How to make a plan in this situation

I was curious about something, so I set this up and looked. My settings are 20 deep and 5 sec.

First Line - Qd5 = -1.91

Fifth Line - h6 = -0.90

It seems different engines made different choices.
