I am not that good a chess player. I am kinda new here too. This forum's rules encourage to post games here before analysing with a chess engine, so I am going ahead with it.

You saw some stuff demonstrating some tactical vision beyond your current rating, but werent consistent, making some blunders that seem to be within your ability to see.  10. qd3 for example.  I'd say you need to work on your approach during the game, because you probably have the ability to be more consistent.  Practicing tactics certain couldnt hurt, try chesstempo.com, make a free account.

Not a ton of point to talking about positional play here, the game wasnt won or lost based on that.  That said, I'll point out that 5. bc4 is a beginner move, because black wants to play d5 anyway, and your move lets him play d5 for free, because your bishop will then have to move.  Basically your giving black a free move.  Bd3 would have been a lot better.

Thank you for your reply! :) I do have an account at chesstempo.com. I understand your point about 5.Bc4 . I need to work on reducing my blunders. I have a doubt though. Is it okay for me to post more of my games here? Being a beginner, is it annoying for you guys to go through our low rated games?

Sure, lots of folks will help.  Plus, I think you'll improve relatively fast since you did show some decent tactical vision for a 1000 player.  Just dont mate yourself next time :)
