Here is another . Playing as white, I offered draw. Because I couldn't think anything out of it. And I am confident, if I didn't do it, I would manage to lose it from here.

The obvious solution is to never resign. Every good coach tells this to low rated students.

The long version is: never resign unless you are absolutely certain that your position is hopeless. This never happens in 500-rated games, so just never resign. If you really, really want to resign, first double check everything. And then triple check.

In the same vein, don't offer a draw and don't accept a draw.

As long as you have resource to play, never resign. Of course it's your choice to resign or not. Even if you have to give up a rook for a minor piece (bishop/knight), don't resign (as long as you are so low rated)

In the first game he was playing Black and thought he was dropping a rook even though Re6 would leave him a pawn up after trading the exchange and was still good enough to play on. Granted, even better to play on would have been RxB (moving from being up an exchange to being up a full rook) and then playing the moves necessary to avoid a back rank mate after White plays Re1.
