Is there a way to keep going without sacrificing my rook?

Hello everyone, I'm new in this forum.

I already won this game, but I want to ask something starting from the 31th move. Now, when I was playing, I didn't monitor white's light bishop at all because I thought it was blocked by his king's pawn and have no good place to go. That is, until the 31th move where he check my king. I was like, ah I forgot he still have another bishop. At that moment I see the move 31... Kh8, 32. Nf7+, and I tought to my self, shit I'm in a serious trouble. Somehow in my mind I have a strong feeling that I'm about to get checkmated. So I sacrificed my rook to get rid of the annoying knight. But then I analyzed the game myself after the game is over, and I can't find a way to checkmate for white at all. So, is my feeling wrong? Or is there actually move that I just can't see? After making that rook sacrifice move, a few move after, I keep thinking is there a way to keep going without sacrificing my rook?

Also, what do you guys think about this game? Do you see earlier checkmate with either white or black?

Also also, is it normal to have 50 moves in my elo? I don't know whether it's better or worse playing that long.

I think that the rook sacrifice was good.

The only legal alternative, Kg8, doesn't lead to mate and directly leads to the loss of the exchange anyway, so it didn't make much difference.

The number of moves for the game doesn't tell you much of anything.
