Nxc6 Qxh2# 0-1 the chess engine always says I'm off book and the move is ok but not good. i use this opening alot i really like getting my dark squared bishop behind my queen like in this game i posted my opponent unfortunately didn't see the check mate coming so the game ended quickly but since i am only 500 to 600 rating i was wondering if the opening is a good line to follow or if my opponents are allowing it to be a good opening of course it is based off the sicilian so it can't be that bad but the chess engine doesn't seem to like the dark bishop double move that i like so much any thoughts would be much appreciated

Yes, it is bad indeed.
hedafuss

Thank you for getting the game board up there tygxc could you elaborate a little on why it's bad

tygxc

5 d3 is tame. 5 d4 exposes that Bd6 is badly placed, as it is vulnerable and blocks pawn d7.
9 Bxd5 exd5 10 dxc5 wins a pawn
Just 12 g3 is good for white. White gains the bishop's pair with 13 Nb5. The isolated queen's pawn d5 is weak.

Nah its not too bad.

XynaD

Black did a good job and white overlooked a mate in 1 from the queen probs

XynaD

12. Re1+ or Re1+ any time seem to help so yeah because the king can move then move back? Still a horrible position but saves the mate

hedafuss

I see tygxc thanks i needed to take that d4 pawn right away but even then once his knights start moving forward my position with the black bishop back there breaks down
