Well, I just lost to martin-bot. He dropped a piece in the opening but then he outplayed me. https://www.chess.com/game/computer/12279281 I'm a 1700! Suggests to me that they silently turned martin-bot into one of those flexible-strength bots. There is no fricking way any human ranked below 1500 would have done this to me.

i've never lost against martin bot, well i sometimes just play against him to feel good about myself..... it doesn't really do anything to my chess

I have encountered this kind of glitch as well. It is the same reason how some people beat the maximum bot. For whatever reason the bots occasionally switch difficultys 

Yes it's a bug, probably. Some days ago there was this guy who was 1400 and he beat the engine in the highest difficulty. He even linked the game and the engine dropped pieces with no compensation etc. It probably bugged and made him play a lower difficulty even though it said it was the highest.

Every bot has a Rng varies from elo to elo thou he have less rng doesn't mean he can't play good

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes.  If a bot were programmed to make random moves it would occasionally come up with a brilliancy albeit accidentally.  Wouldn't it?
