Any comments on the variations? Good for a smooth +=?

Don't like the look of it for black, too complicated for me, and would prefer 4...Bg4 but some strong players are playing it.

Wait, 3. … Bf5 & 4. … Bg4?!

Looked at the variations after 4...Bg4 5Ne5 Be6 6pxp Bxp 7Nf3 c5 sometime ago and seemed fine for black. Would probably play 2...Bg4 it doesn't seem necessary to play 2...c6.

The variations after 4...pxp are a bit above my rating to understand,

Yeah, ...Bg4-e6-d5 is quite ok for both players.

I can’t watch right now but I will make sure to do so soon - I hate it when they take my pawn (I’m usually white) and then keep it. Please give me my pawn back??

#7, If you watch the video it’ll provide you with some ideas. Have fun!

By the way, if Black clings to the pawn with an early b7-b5 the engine likes d3 cxd3 followed by Ne5! This is also mentioned in Demuth's tome covering the Réti.
