Match Analysis - Improve ELO?

Hi, I have been playing for a year or so, I always take rapid games of 10 minutes and have improved from 600 to 1100 ELO just now.

I would like your opinions on what are the best step forwards to improve ELO and continue playing? I am quite addicted right now and play between 4 and 5 games a day.

Thanks!

Yes. Do you analyze your games afterward?

The game you posted has a fairly major mistake on your part. Did you find it?

Yes I analize games and try to not repeat same errors but some times is inevitable, I couldn't find the mistake what is it?

• solve tactic puzzles regularly • refrain playing every move as soon as you see.. try to find a deeper move which profits more • do quick analyzes after every game, win or lose do that.. you will see computer will show you a better move in a position you thought you played the best. you will remember them next time

for example in the game you post; 22. e4, i would consider as a mistake, because you gave some chances (counter play) to your opponent, which normally should not be done in winning position with extra piece.

Consequence of 22. e4 was visible at move no 24. when black could play Rxf4 (instead gxf4) with certain threats; Raf8 (pinning the Rf2) and Rxe4 threat. If you sort the out these, there is always something like Qd4xb2 etc...i mean, even this should still be better game for white, but mixed with limited time control, better to avoid.

perhaps, h2-h3, Kg1-h1, c2-c3 etc... would be better. patient play, preparation before action.
