I have a main game analysis thread here. https://www.chess.com/forum/view/game-analysis/my-analysis-thread?cid=55249274&page=1#comment_box but with the idea of starting up blitz I've decided to post the games here rather than put them in the same place as rapid, which would just be confusing.
Why am I bothering to post them at all? The purpose of starting blitz up is to rack up the ability to play eve when under time pressure. My thinking time is slow and I constantly find myself weak in properly playing down on time, relying on a superior position as a result of any time troubles to pull through. Playing positions and needing to make moves quickly without having my brain sink a ton of time into every move will hopefully help with that. Also, it will test my anti-blunder reflexes, see how well I spot my hanging piece issues on the fly and punish the same. I might have to focus more on safety early on to avoid having to spot and think each threat, we'll see.
This also has the effect of increasing my game count, letting me see more positions and accumulate basic experience. That also gives me a larger sample size to see my reflexive mistakes, errors I have a tendency to want to make early on. My reviews are currently intended to focus on that, we shall see how it plays out.
I do not plan on using this to replace rapid. The blitz games should be used in times where I was not going to play rapid. Trying out blitz was a suggestion of a higher rated player who I had faced a few times in rapid after making note of how some of our games were playing out. Blitz reinforces habits more than serious thought into a situation. No idea if this will be any good, but I'm willing to try it out and see.
Make a Blog for this please stop this will get you muted.
