Time control was G/15 btw
My game vs GM Nakamura!

I have a bad feeling about 11.f4 because it blocks the bishop, and it is clear that ...f5 is coming.
12.e5 is definetely not good, because it blocks your two bishops while opening the diagonal to his. (that's the Nimzo-Indian player speaking)
I wouldn't have played 20.Nxb7 before being absolutely forced to ; 20...Nb8 is probably coming at the next move, and by trading early you give him two tempi. Of course one has to watch the exchange sacrifice ...Rxd6, but at move 20 it is no threat. Maybe 20.Rg3 with the idea Qe2-h5 etc. but I can't find a way to activate the Be3.

Maybe but its weird cause he had a Canadian flag too for whatever reason haha. And he was trolling hard that night lol. Played a bunch of games in the 15 min pool, including 1 against Kingcrusher which you can see on youtube (offered a bunch of takebacks in that one, pretty funny lol). And then he DC'ED after losing a game to some FM. It was a totally drawn pawn ending but Naka tried to win on time and played an obviously losing move probably cause of premoving stuff.
But he is Nakamura and you can verify through his profile.
And yea, I know that my 50th+ moves weren't good. Those were just for fun lol. At that point I was seeing how many checks I can get before I lose. I was already lost before move 50.

If he's such "an extreme left-winger" why is he hanging out in St Louis with some right-wing nut who has taken up the cause of ruining Missouri with his personal sack of $$$?

I think you did not milk Nd6 for all its potential. How about 17. g3
Edit: sorry, that was stupid - see lavarook's explanation below.

After 17.g3, Black has Qc6, threatening mate at g2/h1 and white must lose a piece to block that.
But trading on b7 was a mistake for sure. I was afraid of a checkmate at g2 at the time.
That Rg3 idea looks pretty good though. Never considered it during the game cause I was so focused on that bishop at b7. I wanted to take it off the board instantly. I didn't see the Qe4 idea and that got me into a difficult situation. I got a passive position in the ending (had to defend c4). The ending was difficult to hold especially given that endings are my weakest point right now.

I usually have a board set up yea to make it more like OTB and I use a laptop btw with no mouse and Ive lost on time in positions where im clearly winning too...ridiculous. +mouseslip frequency goes up a lot with the laptop. I quit playing 5 min/3 min pretty much except against friends. I quit live here too except against friends lol

I'm merely stating a fact. You can do your own research on Nakamura's political views and see it for yourself. Obviously we can't debate the issue here since it's against the rules of the forums. I was just explaining the reason behind why Nakamura has the Canadian flag on his ICC profile. He's leftist, admits it, and is proud of it.
You stated that he uses a Canadian flag, because he likes Vancouver and is some kind of leftist. I think this all is just a cover for making up a plausible but unprovable Nakamura personna that you supposedly played against. Sorry, but in a world of internet pseudonyms, the story just doesn't hold up.

Nakamura or not, who cares ? Black was obviously a good player, even if he chose a strange opening. Please stop the political debate or the personal attacks, all of you.

I don't see how an analysis board in a live game couldn't be considered cheating. That way you can play everything out on a board without really having to calculate.
If that's the case then I think it does take away a lot from this game, but otherwise you put up an extremely good fight -- it took him a long time to grind you out!

Nakamura has the Canadian flag on it because of his love for Vancouver. He's an extreme left-winger in politics, and threatened several times to leave the USA to play for a different country if Obama did not win the election. He recently tweeted a cheer for joy at the Supreme Court decision over Obamacare.
I myself do not share his political views, so I try to put them out of my mind when I root for him in his OTB games.
lol
Here it is, enjoy and feel free to criticize the game, etc.
