Ok, here are my thoughts - for a start, I think that you´ve grasped an amazing amount in two weeks, keep at it! You´ve also got an eye for tactics, shown by your pawn trap which won his rook.

 On the down side - there are a few basic opening principles which are easy to learn and which would immediately give you much better chances if you applied them. Have a look here: http://www.chess.com/article/view/the-principles-of-the-opening

Another quick way of improving - tactics! Try http://chesstempo.com, it´s free - do the "Standard" problems with no time limit, and you´ll start looking at the board in a completely different way.
