Are you sure that's the game? It seems like they are just trolling around, Black should have took the bishop and even then if really wanted to move away, not move into the range of the knight.

Hey I'm pretty new to chess. I've been doing the beginner's study plan for openings. This is one the showcase games for the Ruy Lopez openning. Anyway, towards the end of the game they do some things that I don't understand at all. On move 12, white moves their bishop into range of the queen with no protection at all, but black doesn't take the bishop. Instead, they move their queen within range of the white knight! But white doesn't take the queen! I know that there's something they have in mind, but I can't see the logic behind these moves. A little help please. Here's the game:
