I probably should have lost this, but I managed to capitalize on some mistakes. Thanks for the help in advance.

See the position after  move eight

The pawn formation is almost symmetrical but white's only developped piece is f3-knight whereas black already has both knights, e7 bishop in the game and he also has castled. So basically black is three tempis ahead in otherwise symmetrical position which should mean sizeable advantage. White must remove the king from the centre as quickly as possible so 9. Be2 (or perhaps 9. Bd3) and 10 0-0. 9. c3-c4? makes things even worse as it wastes further tempo and also opens the position which should help better developped black pieces.

By the way as far as I know Ponziani arises after 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. c3. 2... Nf6 3.c3 is something completely different.

Oh ok... Cool... I guess I didnt have enough material to simultaneously pressure my opponent and allow for a castle at the same time. Thank you for your input.

It might be usefull exercise to decide what you did wrong in the first eight moves to end three tempi down with white pieces. Later in the game black could win rook by 31... Qxf4. I believe the final position should also still be winning for black; his only real problem is the passive king (on most endings king should be used actively on contrary to middlegame).
