Hi,

I'm just getting  to know my games explorerer and games analysis.  Of late, i've found a few interesting games in a book that i've transposed into pgn format.  My problem is that i can't seem to find the save button to save and store these games in a folder for future use.  Is it possible to save and build up a catelogue of games other than my own games on Chess.com in pgn format.  If so can somebody explain the step by step process.  if this is not possible then again will someone direct me to any suitable sites or free down loads that access these features,

thanking you in advance

1) Please do not post duplicate threads.

2) No need for caps lock.

3) There are several database programs. Some of the free ones are chessDB, SCID, Arena. Google these, read through the tutorials and you should be able to find what you're looking for.

SCID is a really good free database program. It will generate opening trees, bring up games based on tree positions, and you can import different free engines like Toga and Crafty. Btw if you dont have Toga this is a very strong program. Go to www.superchessengine.com they have other free programs, opening bases as well. It's great to have the newest version of Chessbase or Chess Assistant, but if you can't afford it SCID can do just about everything.
