Traxler might be fun but it is not the best continuation. 4..d5 5.exd5 Na5 Polerio defense (or b4 Ulverstad defense) are stronger. Pretty much if Black does not play 5...Nxd5? Fried Liver then they can get a nice counter attack as white has to retreat with little development.
Also, Traxler is easier to survive the counter with d4 or just straight up Bxf7 then retreat to Bc3.
