I only worked into this position from a move or two out, but was pleased to acheive it. This would be pure mate though, right?

yep, youv got him cold. good job. you had him preddy dead to rights even if you hadnt mated him. he has no defense going and you can castle up and ram right down the middle

Almost ... technically the fact the g5 bishop attacks the e7 pawn disqualifies it!
It would have been a pure mate with a pawn on g5, or the bishop on d4 instead of g5.
