To play a legal (yet low-quality) game against ChatGPT, go to ChatGPT -> GPTs -> Chess Master. Provide the FEN after each move and ask it to check the provided FEN before making a move. If the board displayed is wrong or if it makes an illegal move, tell the GPT about it and it will provide a legal move in its next response. To be honest, its playing strength is about 800 elo.
