Tactics in Chess 1

Dear ladies and gents,

Most games of chess include forksEmbarassed  Let's look at how a queen's forking at two pieces take place in a match between Larry Christiansen and Anatoly Karpov.  Karpov, being a former FIDE World Champion, missed a devastating shot from Christiansen.

Here Christiansen made Qd1, attacking both the bishop at d6, just moved by Karpov, and the knight at the edge.

We should be careful of Queen's fork at matches!
