Terrible player, looking for advice..

Played this game and thought i was gonna win for sure, but i got short on time and lost it at the end. Where did it all go wrong?

Any comments or tips appreciated, i got no idea what i am doing.. Only started to play recently. I am playing as the black pieces.

Greetings. I am a potzer too, but I can offer some observations. Your second move makes your d pawn backward. You brought out your queen before developing your pieces. Seems to be limited coordination between pieces and pawns. In the opening you allowed a bishop to be posted on the center creating an imbalance on your king side!

Suggestion: Develop both bishops, both knights, and castle in the first 10 moves—all the while, NEVER giving up control of the center.

I don't think you should have taken the knight with your dark squared bishop since it was in a solid position.

21...Rb1 would have won the game.
