What would black respond to Qa4? Bc6 would be useless there and I can't see how black can survive it. I don't really care if the knight gets away because it would no longer be guarding d7.
I have been practicing tactics and have been improving in them for the past year. I have gotten fairly good at finishing off my opponents when the opportunity arises but have found the opportunity arriving less and less.
I started some games hoping to practice positional playing to get more consistant in my ability but I got an opponent who would have none of that.
