thoughts on my rook sac please

Well, i ended up winning this game, but only because black slipped up on his last move.  I'm just wondering if the sac was sound or not, and how people might evaluate white in the end.  Thanks for your comments.

Interesting sac!  Well executed, played like a champ!  :)

In the end it only worked because of an error, and i still don't know how white is fairing after be7

More experienced players might find an essentially flawed position in your sac, but I personally endorse it. Not only it was elegant, it also divided black's board in half with most firepower on the wrong side; not only that, but white also delayed black's defensive mobilization with its own pawns.

I wish I had a sac this good to show off with... >_<

I think the sac was sound but you missed a crucial inbetween-move, as you played it, you were busted (I think) You needed to a seemingly meaningless little threat, that moves his rook off the f file, then you had something.

Thanks JG.  I certainly missed all of that.  Something i've noticed lately with my attacks (and i'm still in the very early learning stages of attacking) is that they feel like they wander at points and i think that was one of the things i noticed in this position: i felt like i was running out of steam.

Tonydal, i'm not sure i understand.  Isn't a rook worth more than a knight?  Or am i missing something else?

Thank you both for your input.
