trap to trap u completely!
Legall's Mate eh?
It just so happens that I got my first win here on Chess.com when my opponent tried to spring this trap on me, but failed.
If it has been posted many times then what shall i do?
This was told to me by a very good chess player.
A GOOD TRAP IS ALWAYS GOOD AND NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW MANY TIMES IT HAS BEEN POSTED.

I think you overrate it. If it was such a good trap, then most people would fall for it. The problem is that if Black knows anything about the Philidor defense, he/she will have prevented Legall's Mate long before White even has a realistic chance at pulling it off.

This is clearly not true. Any 'very good chess player' would never say that 'a good trap is always good' because traps are inherently not good. That's why they're traps and not brilliant tactics.
And people are posting that it's been posted a lot because Legall's mate is probably THE most famous opening trap.
