hi, i just played these two games in live chess, one of them i won and the other one i didn't. In the game I lost I'd be interested to know at what point I went seriously wrong. What moves should I have played etc? I think I still had a chane of a draw or even winning if I hadn't taken the bishop towards the end, what do you think?

The second game, I beat my opponent. But did I make any mistakes which she didn't see, and should have seen? And what could I have done better etc? Also, at the end, I only just saw the checkmate. But was there a quicker way to force mate and avoid all of the checks that she was giving me?

I have two comments about the first game.

First, of course you shouldn't take the bishop on f7 on your 54th move... But I am not sure you could save the game at that point already.

Second, your opponent had a big mistake on move 28 by playing Re8. d8Q is much more powerful then.

Thanks for that. What was the move (apart from taking the bishop) that completely messed it up for me though?

Well, I don't really know if really big mistakes were made. I saw however a couple of moves I would describe as not so good. For example, 7. Bd7. You block your queen from the center and therefore the white pawn on e5.
