This symbol means the move is forced.
Forced means it's literally the only playable move.
His King is in check. He can't move to h5, as it is covered by your Knight. Can't go to g5 as it's covered by your Rook, as is g3. He can't take your Rook, as it is guarded by two Knights. He can't go to he or g3 because it's guarded by your Queen. The only available move is to take your Rook with his Queen.
Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.
As I mention in the title of this query, upon reviewing a match I played noticed a symbol I had never come across in the analysis engine. When my opponent moved his Queen to neutralize my Rook that was checking his King the engine showed an arrow pointing right ontop of his Queen. What does that mean?
Thank you in advance, and I appologize if this was too dumb a question.
