Want to analyze my game but…

I played a live game with a friend and I blundered, and realized that I blundered at move 17. Since I’d recently decided to record my games in my new logbook I was looking forward to analyzing the game when I got home.

Except I made a recording error somewhere and move 13 is impossible. Frustrating!?!!!

What’s a good way to debug the game so I can analyze it?

Sometimes it's not possible but you might be able to use a later move to give a clue on what it could be

Here's the game as I have it recorded. I found that by entering it here, I did not make a recording mistake. I'm still learning how to use the annotations but I realized that I was down material at 16.... I'm playing with Black and resigned at 46...

The error was 14... I'd gotten into a poor exchange that resulted in my being down material. Considering I make this error a lot, I need to understand how to fix it.

I'm wondering if I should have played this out, that I could have turned the losing position into a stalemate. Across the board, I offered a draw at 40 and earlier thought I could draw the game due to my opponent having sufficient material OR I could sneak my g-h pawn to promotion.

37...was a missed opportunity as well. I think I was playing for a draw about this time, but I could have taken a different approach by sacrificing the advanced pawn, cleaning up the Queenside, the marched down the Kingside to promote.
