Black resigned an easily won game. Moves like Bb3 soon make a Queen for him or draw the White King to the Queenside, when the Black King mops up the gaggle of White pawns.
p.s. Tell me if you don't get it, I'll post a moving diagram.

Yeah I was surprised when he/she resigned as I thought there were still some ways in which black could win.

Your lucky day.
Cherish it because as you get better, they will occur with much less frequency.
Yeah, you're right. I am getting better I think, when I first started on this site I lost almost every single game :D
It's a long and stony road, persistence is the key.
The key that will unlock the door to countless losses!
Resigning with a bishop pair against an army bereft of any pieces?! You sir, must be quite the charmer.
Usually, a draw offer followed by resigning in a better position means that your opponent had to tend to something else like a phone call, a door ring, the wife or the kids. I have this a few times myself. I hope he accepts a draw, if he doesn't I resign rather than time out.
Yeah, I agree with you. I think my weaknesses are when I for example end up losing concentration and forgetting the position of the pieces on the board. We both made mistakes, I think for example the bit where I lost my queen was particularly bad and I would have lost straight away had black not made a similar mistake a few moves later.
I guess I still find "grabbing material" really hard to resist lol and that's lost me a few games at times. Sometimes it's very difficult to see what the right move in any position is though, when it seems to be quite unclear, I guess I need to spend more time looking for unlikely traps etc
I've just played this game in live chess, my opponent first offered me a draw and then resigned, and I'm just wondering whether he was right to do so or whether the position could have been salvaged somehow.
I know that both sides made a lot of mistakes, especially in the opening and the middle of the game, but I think I've recently got a lot better with my games. Any other comments on the way I played welcome etc :)
