I won this game with an attack that i sacrificed plenty of material to build. but was it as sound as i thought at the time. i cannot personally find a line that would have allowed him to keep the advantage, but maybe there is one?

Yes, I readily admit that the position was lost for me had he found a better defense. the thread isn't to question my attack, it is his ability to defend. if you cannot tell, i am horrible at playing defense, and wanted to learn something from this situation where my opponents lack in defense led to his loss. my question has been answered, so please let this thread die in peace.
18.Qd3 would have been an interesting move for white. It protects the e2 square and prevents black's d-file pawn from pushing.
