f5 unmasks the Kings protection from checks along the h5-e8 diagonal, even if no check exists for the moment. h6 not only does not expose the King but also stops a piece from hitting at g5 (e.g. Ng5 or Bg5) somewhere down the road.

Computer says it's h6 instead of f5 for the black, but I do not see why. Could someone explain this to me and also what would they recommend? Also this is my first post here, so let me know if there is a more efficient way to sare my board. Thanks!
