White to move

I played this game yesterday and came to this point. I stared at this for longer than I probably should have before making my move.

White played d4...

black responed with what you see, Nc4

What is your move and why?

White to move.

bxq seems simple enough unless your diagram is messed up.

Ne7 and then bxq

Ne7 and then bxq

Ne7+ without a doubt.

I think white can play bxq right away: 1.bxq cxd5 2.Qf5+ Rd7 3.Qxd5 and there's no Na5 because of Qa8+ and Qxg8. After say 3...Kb8 you just play 4.Qxc4, black responds Rxg5 and you're up a clear queen.

I went Bxg5 and my opponent resigned. I figured whether Ne7+ or Bxg5 I was taking the queen.

I ran it through a stockfish engine and those were the two best moves with Bxg5 being “best”.

I figured the rest of the play to be

...Rxg5 2. Ne7+ Kd7 3. Qxc6+ Kxe7 4. Rae1+ Kf8 5. Qxc4

Or he could block the Rae1+ with a Knight or rook on e5 but I’d come out up in the exchange.
