Find the best move for white's continuation and you will see.
Why did a computer analysis call my move a blunder?
the computer analysis always gives the correct move and what your opponent should have done after this move, you can look there if you cant find it
26 ... Rad8 ? is a blunder and allows 27 Rg1 and black is busted ... Black is losing anyway but 26... Rf7 also protects the B/d7 and the g7 square while also ejecting the WQ from black's position ... in such positions look for moves that do more than one thing , Rad8 only defend the B/d7 but Rf7 also defends it and the square g7 as well as evicting the WQ , a move that does several things is almost always better than a move that does only one thing .

Okay...I see it now. Thank you so much! I was lost. Everyone helped a lot. I ended up winning the game because White retreated with 27.Qa3, and eventually made a huge blunder by moving 28. Nb3??, opening up 28...Qxf3 and ut fell art for him from there.
@Reb, I saw that one too, but I was not sure, because black has g5, can you please explain why that doesnt work?
Jorijn, see the analysis posted above by HilarioFJunior. After 27. Rg1 g5 white has 28. Nxg5 threatening mate on h7. If black takes the knight with pawn white has Rxg5+ and black has to sacrifice his queen to avoid mate. A nice position.
oh I didnt notice that there was an analysis, something else I see now, white also has 31. Qh5+, and Kg7 and Kg8 are both followed by 32. Rg1#, so actually its mate, it doesnt matter what black does
Side note about the game - you know that you blundered a piece on move 4?
Yes I did notice that. I made a really bad mistake early on...
By moving 26...Rad8 I feel I protected my bishop and both of my rooks fairly well. Yet upon a computer analysis, it told me the move was a blunder...why? Am I missing something? I did end up winning this game, by the way.
Because White can play rook to g1 and then queen takes on g7 is a checkmate!

The next thing to do is send your post back 10 years into the past.

Yeah I didn't look at the date but it looked recent? No worries

@kaissyxxl found out recently that undigging 10+ year dead threads is amusing.

I think it's amusing that people are still getting a rise out of it?
