Why is "Accuracy over [x] games" so much lower than game-by-game accuracy?

I happened to notice today that on my stats page, my Rapid Game accuracy over 20 games is "34" (not 34 percent or 34 centipawns --  just "34").

But as I look over my last 20 games, my accuracy in each game was at or above 80% (with one or two in the 75% range). Ditto if I go back to older games, too.

So, what does the overall accuracy number mean? It can't be the average of the games, can it?

Thanks in advance,

Brion
