The way you set your trap wasn't really in the nature of fair play to be honest. He was still foolish to fall for it though but you shouldn't mould your games on such things. A stronger player would not have made this mistake. You had created a very solid pawn chain with a passed pawn and you would have won anyway.

Yes it was a bit cheap, it devalues my win a bit. But I wanted my queen on that side anyway to try to charge to pawns to either break open his King's defence (using the H pawn) or by getting rid of his E pawn using my F pawn.
Now the other game.
For me it's clear draw.

You came back from a bad position very well. Giving yourself 3 little aims was a nice idea, and you slowly managed to get back in to the position. Nice techniques used!

Is there anybody that can go through and pick up on inaccuracies, blunders etc on the moves?
Hmmmm in the final, I'm sure someone could probably have sacked something somewhere... but I couldnt find anything :P
I'd also have to agree that at the end Kc7 for white offers much more than Be5+
One thing in my opinion that did look better for you (I think :)) is 14. f6? prevents Ne5 and thereatens to push e5 opening up your position
If white plays Qxa7 then after e5 you could maybe win a piece with the threats on the knight on Nf3
14. f6 15. Qxa7 Nxf3+ 16. Bxf3 Qxf3
So say white swaps off knights then taking with the rook puts it in the centre of the board or with pawn provides a strong pawn chain blocking off whites black sq. bishop

Your suggestion looks good. I lose the A pawn, but I would have lost it anyway if he had played 15.a4 on the main line.
Following on from the 55.Kc7 line. I would probably play 55..ne6 looking to come to d4 to threaten a pawn. Then he plays the bishop move to check me and defend his pawn. There is no way I could get through to his pawns before he gets his king over to win my pawn. I think it would be a win for him, but I am not sure.
I played these two games today for the Worcester Closed Championship Semi final and Final (OTB).
The controls were 65 minutes each, with 10 minutes back after 30 moves.
I won the first, but drew the second (I eventually won the tournament on armageddon play off, but I'd like to concentrate on the long play matches).
It had been a while since I'd played long play, so it took a while to get used to it again. The second game in particular contains some terrible play from me, so please help me out by analysing them.
