The game should've continued! After 37.Kf2 white rook is hanging. So what was wrong for your opponent to take it with 37...Rxd1 is a mystery to me. After that Black has a rook vs bishop. Both side have six pawns, but even though Black has doubled pawns, most of the pawns are on white squares and thus unreachable for the bishop, while the rook dominates the first rank and is able to attack white pawns from behind.

Stockfish evaluation is -3.9, so clear advantage for Black. Your opponent made a big mistake resigning in this position.
