You have 2 options

You have 2 options, to move down and hang mate in one,  which is an "Excellent move". OR move up and have it be mate in 2, which is the best move.  Which one are you picking.

(But seriously though,  how is this an excellent move? I NEED AN EXPLANATION

If you're completely losing, no matter what you do, any move is as good as any other.

Moving down means mate in one. (Rh4#) Moving up means mate in two. (Bf2 Kh2 Rh4#)

Move classifications here are generally based on evaluation changes but a player already lost doesn't get dinged for losing faster. Ultimately, those moves maybe should be listed as good unless they are the best move to postpone mate the longest, then best is fine.

I believe a future version of the classification code is going to have changes, though I don't know if it will specifically address this type of situation.

Kh1 is the worst possible move. And Game Review says "Kh1 is excellent. A very strong play".

I knew that Game review is incredibly bad and useless, but it can still surprise me every day.

If it doesn't change the eval that much, game review labels the second best move "excellent". Here, you only have two moves. One of them has you being mated in one move, the other mated in two moves. The former is the second best move, and because +M1 and +M2 don't have much difference, this move would be considered "Excellent".

At best, it's hilariously lazy and incompetent job by the programmers.

"Kh1 is excellent. A very strong play". Double facepalm.

Every move gets a classification. Maybe good is best when in a completely losing position but it's going to have something. The developers code to the design and it was apparently decided to go the current route by the designers.

I know there's some upcoming changes which might include things like that, though I don't know for certain.
