I was thinking after white's move 57. Qc1 that I was dead. But somehow while analyzing the exchange and the Rook capture, it suddenly struck to me as a 2-in-1 deal in my hands. After playing, I saw that it was a 3-in-1. I had missed the idea of the Discovered Check. It proved to be the turning point. :P

The opening is a textbook example of how NOT to play chess (by both sides).

Anyway, white ends the comedy a clear piece up, and of course he is winning briefly. Anyway...

- What is wrong with taking the rook on move 55? Black has no more than a few checks before resigning.

Factly, 56.Kd4?? is the ONLY move that does not win for white!

I agree with pfren that 56. Kxe3 was doubtlessly the best move at that point, though it was not played. It would have been resulted a piece up for White (Rook). Though I think the reason for not capturing it would be so that White could avoid a series of Checks, and also be able to play the Skewer. Pointless.

White WAS winning the game, had he not played 56. Kd4. Then I guess I would have lost the game definitely as Black.

How should have the opening sequence gone? I aren't very good at openings. I think White should not have brought a lone Queen outside without opening his other minor pieces.
