Not sure how much better the move 4. ...Nc6 is to 4. ... d6, But I'd also go for what you played.
Nice game

I just prefer straightforward over convoluted-- where the chances of goofing up really increase, especially in blitz. Thanks.
I dont know, I liked your d6. It does block in your bishop (you may consider the fianchetto, but with the half open f file, and the missing e pawn?), but it really points at some problems with his plan. His d3 and Bf4 look silly after d6. He already has dark square issues (a7-g1 and a1-h8 diagonals) which he should be able to patch up in a couple of moves (and you need a couple to take advantage of them), but instead he trades the dark square bishop!
Good Game!
I played the following game today. It was just a 5/0 game, so it was more fun than deep. The opening sequence was totally alien to me. It did turn out to be a less-than-15-moves brevity. Of course, brevities can only occur with the unwitting cooperation of your opponents. The chess.com Analysis says my opponent had to blunder twice for me to win. But on the other side, it agreed with 2/3 of my moves and gave me a fairly high CAPS:
The in-game variations come from Analysis, to which I added my own thoughts.
