People ridiculed people long before the ascendancy of computers. Of course most people were patzers before engines made them instant masters, so most of the ridulicule back then seldom involved chess.

Here I just played White against Ernst Falkbeer's counter-gambit in a 2/4 game. My opponent's rating was about the same as mine but I don't think this defense was his thing.
Oh, c'mon now, first the blog, now the threads? Batgirl, are you thinking about leaving us? Say it ain't so!
BTW, nice mini-mini in game 2--defense definitely wasn't his strong suit.
BTW, BG, you might like knowing that there is now a member here with the name "dadian." I don't know if he's a prince, though.

If Batgirl left chess.com we might as well close it altogether as it would never be the same without her!
I am leery about posting a blitz game anymore. Some people take the games for more than what they are.
This is a 3/3 game. My opponent was rated lower than me. I played White and made some less than stellar moves. My opponent, however, made some worse moves. I included a couple alternate lines I had examined during the game.
End of story.
