In your second puzzle is it imo better for black to capture the rook on the d-file. White will take care that there is a rook on the d-file, because after black has captured the bishop can white get the central pawn on d5.
That means that after Rxf1 white will answer with Kxf1 and not Rxf1. That brings the king to a better place than g2. Hence is black helping white getting his king in a better position playing Rxf1. Therefor would I have a preference to play Rxd1 for black.
