I'm not implying anything. Your rating....2200 in bullit is impressive. I just thought there would be nobody at camp that could challenge you except maybe a computer.
Are you a complete chess patzer who has defeated titled players. Here is a thread to show off :D

since you are american...you probably know this kid.
if you don't, here is a huge hint: we don't have the same sex

I wouldn't consider myself a patzer since I am roughly 2100 USCF Standard at the moment. In terms of OTB, I have drawn GM Fedorowicz while playing white at the US Open roughly a year ago and I did draw an IM while playing black in both slow time controls.

Congrats! Do you have any of the games to share?
If that question was directed to me, then yes.
Here's the link to the first game where I got the draw with the GM: https://www.chess.com/blog/WilliamJohnB/my-draw-with-gm-john-fedorowicz-at-the-2017-us-open.
I'll post the second game tomorrow morning (where I got a draw with an IM while playing as black) when I find it.

Nice game! I'll post some of my better OTB games some time.
Btw, I have a similar rating profile. I never beat a GM in an official game (only simul and blitz), but I did beat an IM.
@Blueemu - That was a great game. Moves 10 and 11 were well calculated, shame he had f5 to save the knight. However well played over all.
Also @WilliamJohn, drawing someone 500 points higher is a great showing.

I beat someone rated 2600 blitz but this was long ago when I was much more of a patzer than now. I've also beaten many 2100-2400 players many times in bullet and blitz elsewhere, beat national players in simul, and in OTB....

Thanks.

I wouldn't call myself a patzer, but my last official rating was only around 1500 USCF (this was back in the 1990's. I'm probably around 1800 now). I beat this NM twice in a row. Those are also my only games ever against a Master, so I'm pretty proud of them (2-0 lifetime record vs Masters). The following game is one of those two and I believe that it's one of my all-time masterpieces. I was black, in a Closed Sicilian - Grand Prix Attack. My queen visited every corner of the board in 16 moves, so it's worth a few minutes of your time to check it out. Keep in mind that it was a daily game, so even though you might flip through it quickly, I spend about 15-60 minutes on each move.

This is another win at the 2018 K8NCC
Sorry I meant @tanki97, at the time I think their accounts are switched

I've beaten a Grandmaster in a blitz in a pub once. We were both drunk. I've beaten an IM in similar circumstances. Don't get me wrong both games were fluke (in the GM case I was playing the fantastic Ruy Lopez Berlin fishing pole variation as black and my position was actually ruined but pieces were everywhere and all of a sudden the GM blundered allowing mate in 3! So if you life depend on it, when faced a GM play as risky as possible instead of "quiet positional" in order to have your chances go from zero to 0.2% lol. The IM blundered too).
You have to realize, even assuming equal skill, some rated players are nice and casual when they play and other are very determinated to win.
If the guy acts cool you have a chance, but if he really wants to win and you're 500 elo below hil or more he will beat you up *very* easily. This has been in my experience anyways.
With a rating of 2276.......Stockfish.?
what do you mean
