here you have an advantage but with Ne5 you throw away the attack after Nxe5 or Bxg5 If Nf7+ then Rxf7 and after Bxf7 he remains up. If after Nxe5 Qxd8 and Bxd8 Bxd8 he plays Bxe6 with him gaining a piece.
