Best Win and Breaking 1300!

A great recovery after getting April Fooled today!

This is my first time breaking 1300 by really earning it (I checked, when I first played I beat two under 1000 players and was rated 1329... silly). It was also my best win as far as ratings go on this time setting!

Looks like the tactics training and comfort of opening the center is paying off!

Nice win. Even though your opponent could have avoided such an early, catastrophic loss, by simply playing Bd7 he had bigger problems to contend with. His opening moves basically define bad - just take a look at the gaping weakness on D5, as well as the backward d6 pawn (resting on your open file) for a start. Even if you didn't take advantage of your development based advantages these weaknesses would remain for you to exploit later in the game.

Qa4 + actually makes a good deal of sense even considering Bd7. After your queen moves to b3 your opponent has to defend the b7 pawn, after which Bc4 is a nasty move basically forcing some sort of material concession.

Your opponent really had no choice but to play like this...

I think 7 Qa4+ followed by Qb3 intending Bc4 as Kupov said with a huge initiative is immediately crushing for white.

Backwards pawns and weakness on D5!? Things I don't see in a game or fully grasp yet but thanks for the feedback. It's enlightening to see the game through others eyes.
