never played that opening (i'm guessing it's called king's gambit) but now i will give it a try.

move 2 seems like an easy blunder to make if you're not used to playing against it.

Wow, nice game!! This shows some good attacking chess. And 2..f6?? was simply garbage. From there, you showed some classical tactics. Such as if 14..Kxc4?? then 15.Ne5+ forking the King and Queen. But even then 14.b4+ was not a bad move. it forced the King further into your position meaning that you can mate him more easily. It is certainly not a blunder. I do not understand why you put it as 14.b4+?? It is no blunder, just an agressive move.

Anyways, great game. I love watching attacking chess such as this. Especially live, it has all the excitement of an NHL Final, or Fifa World Cup Final. Brilliant stuff!

What happens after 2...Qe7? EDIT: Sorry, I meant 3...Qe7.

I certainly don't think 2...f6 warrants '??' - though I enjoyed the game very much:)

I found several Master games with 2...f6. However, I found none with 3 fxe?! I imagine this is because of 3...Qe7.  Natural moves thereafter are 4. exf3 Qxe4+ 5 Qe2 Qxe2 6 Bxe2 Nxf3, and Black is completely equal.

In fact, Fischer-Jones in 1964 was played with 2...f6.

Guess who won.

oh, Im sorry. I didnt see that. And after Kxc4 I couldn't fork the queen because the knight is pinned.

Moving the f7 pawn cripples black's opening. Avoid it at all costs.
