Bot to Bot II

In my previous Bot to Bot post I had beaten Arthur (1700) in my 2 game requirement to move to the next bot - Jonas (1700). Like Arthur, this one gave me some trouble. It uses unusual openings, which in themselves isn't a big deal, but it also has strong combinative ability which is a big deal.  I think I lost the first 8 games I played (a couple quite embarrassingly) but after I won my first game, the second win came in 2 more games. (note, in my personal quest, I'm giving myself the advantage of playing White in all the games).

First game Jonas' 48....Rf2+? Was terrible loss of tempo.

Good for you.  Jonas beat me several times before I won.  Isla has been my latest bot victim.  Got her on try two.

Well for one the bunny is definitely impressed if he/she/it can get to anywhere anytime especially with these travel bans in place, leave alone the beating part..

Nice first game, but beware of be too edgy with the last rook. King also can attack it. BTW, i like the historical blogs that you did for this site!

Hi batgirl! I'm stuck on bot Nelson, rated 1300. Can't beat his queen. Once I managed to exchange queens and almost won the game, but made a mistake at the end. What can I do?

I don't know.  Play solidly, don't spook, look for opportunities, grab the smallest advantage and hope for the best.

I'm intermediate... on the low end.  If you want to emulate someone, I'd suggest finding a player worthy of emulation.
