f3 is such a terrible move.
Budapest Gambit win as black, 500 rating difference

Yes indeed. 12. Qd3?? was also quite shocking.
Great game by black.

No point in taking part in a thematic tournament without knowing the theory. You will be hammered like this.

Well I was very much a chess nub when this game took place. I did devote a lot of time to playing it though.
This guy actually beat me in to the finals, I timed out on 2 of my games and could have easily won/drawn both. Sadly he had .5 more than me when the games finished, I would have loved to play the 3. dxe5 Ne4 variation in the finals - I love this opening for black.
Why 5. ... Bxb2 ?
Wouldn't Qh4+ be better? Followed by 6. g3 Nxg3 7. e3 (7. Qa4? Nf5+ 8. Kd8 Ne3# ) Nxh1+ 8. Ke2 Qf2+ 9. Kd3 Qxh2 threatening to take the queen.
Just because the game is "rolling" into your favour should not stop you from finding the most killing moves, or often more importantly, to make occasional defensive moves (castling, developing more pieces).
Hunting pawns when you are a rook+ ahead and underdeveloped is bad. At that point, you should just safe it. Castle, and develop yourself. The victory will come by itself anyway.
Probably the best game I've played, I think the queen took around 18 points of material alone, any comments or tips?
