Cool Game

Hi! Thanks for seeing my game. I hope you enjoy it.

The 5. b4 pawn push was a great idea.

Do you do that a lot?

Avatar of johnpaul999

Yes. I do that a lot to fianchetto my Bishop especially in my Philidor defense repertoire. If you will look at all my games, it is like almost a variation of Philidor defense in reverse or slightly different order. This defense I always used in almost all the opening in my game in either black or white.

I hope you try to look my other games that I post and please comment or ask if you have other question or inquiry.

The simple 5.d4 is certainly stronger- that bishop is misplaced at a5, while at b6 it "might" contribute to the game.

Thank you.

Do you pay King's Gambit often?

If either of you do, I asked a question on this thread:

Hi! Thank you for your response. I don't know much about King's Gambit and its variation but I will give you a link to further you to study or know it. Here it is. https://poshukach.com/search?fr=ps&gp=813093&altserp=1&q=chessgames.com+king%27s+gambit ; https://www.chessgames.com/perl/chesscollection?cid=1013666 . I just play it if it is fit on my Philidor defense repertoire.
