I played white in this game against someone rated approximately 1700 blitz, not a weak player by any means.

Thanks. I'm a believer that pawns are a much bigger factor in many games, but are often overlooked.

i take this game for what it was. You have a point...moving pawns in front of ur king can be a no-no. This WAS a BLITZ GAME MOST RULES GOES OUT THE WINDOW PLAYING BLITZ

IMO you push your pawns with a coordinated attack. You also need either control of the center or a fixed center. The center was pretty fixed and White had more spce. Black split his attention between the kingside and queenside, and he was too thin on both counts.
